    At least the 84 should have the inline pump. The main parts to do it: Intercooler, better turbo(HX40 from a Cummins 8.3), injectors either extrude honed or replacements for the 1992 270hp, Pump adjustments(the freebie ones). Timing set to at least 19*.

    hi, i am new to this forum and you seem to be the one to talk to about 466.i have just acuired a 1984 ihc id.#1HTLDUXN4EHA40218iknow very little about diesel and want to use this single axle tractor to pull my 40 ft. enclosed gooseneck. at this time it feels great leaving the stop light, but on the road thru the mountains i need more power.could you please help me make this rig a good combination?maybe better air system, injectors, turbo?of course as always bang for my buck is important [fuel mileage].thanks for any advice in advance.ron
