Thanks or the info. I bought the basic ignitor not realizing that the II might have been a better choice, but as you point out, the basic one is the only choice for a 6V system. I will have to be careful about leaving the key on when it's not running. I just figured out that you are in Crossville. I will look at Truckstock. Might be fun to go if I can trust my truck on a little road trip.

I saw where you are planing to install a pertronix ignition in your truck, I can't speak for the 6 volt version, but I had installed the 12v version in mine and had two of them 'burn out' prematurely. I finally went to the IgnitorII which is a much better design and so far no problems, however they don't offer that model in the 6V.
