Conversation Between Rubiconrod and jwheaties

I've travelled over 10,000 miles and have not used my slider yet. I've done some pretty intense turns and have come close but I've always cleared the cab. It's backing up that is the risk.

Please advise. Buying a 2017 F350 short bed with 5th wheel hitch prep, and a Grand Design 307MKS (similar size to 303). Will a regular fixed hitch allow sharp turning or will I need to purchase a more cumbersome slider hitch?
