Hi Dave. I was looking at this old post and I have routed my power wire the same way you have.

In the below picture, it looks like you have zip-tied the power cable below the cowl. How are you securing it and to what?

Never mind! I just looped zip ties through the snap hole where the cowl snaps into. Works like a charm.
