    Hope you don't mind me picking your brain with a question about your post. I'm working on replacing the front axle bearings on my 2002 F250 and found your post on ujoints. I'm at the reassembly stage, and I can't get the clip ring on the axle on top of the washer stack. I'm worried that maybe I didn't seat the seal on the axle deep enough, even though I felt the hammer rebounding and things were no longer moving. I've tried prying forward with a pry bar, and even tapped on the back of the ujoint just a little. I got it to move some, but I still lack about 0.050", about the thickness of one washer. Any idea? Here is a link to a couple of pictures which makes me question the seating depth:
