I have the edelbrock carb on mine. I bought the LoKar AOD cable and the LoKar AOD carb bracket to make the connections. I will be glad to give you anymore help you need. Setting the cable pressure is not that hard. It has to be right though or you will burn up the transmission. I have gone thousands of miles since doing mine.

Hey would you mind showing me exactly what parts you used to adapt your AOD to your carb? I am going to be using a 4 Barrel (1850) Holley for my 302/AOD.
