Well, lots of water over the dam in the last 2 years. I've dumped the '91, now have an '82 short-bed, standard-cab, 2WD, 302V8, with around 72K on it, otherwise pristine, and even smells good inside. Biggest problem is it needs a new dipstick tube. Oh, and I'm now in Washington state. Lots of water...

Hi PhoebeAnn, We're practically neighbors.
I did the cab swap myself. I sourced a donor truck from New Mexico (E-Bay) and I'm doing all the work myself.
I know this is a lot more work than most people want to get involved with.
I don't know of any local shops that would be reasonable doing this type of work.

I'm in Polk City, with a '91 standard cab, long-bed XLT 4x4 that I think needs a cab transplant. There's so much rust that one shop I asked about it said it was beyond repair, and to just replace the cab. That's well beyond by age and capabilty at this point; I see you've done that, or had it done. Any recommendations for a shop that might want to take on this project? Alternative is to replace the truck, which probably makes more sense, but I thought I'd look at all the options.
