Well, any time you remove and rebuild the carb, you will need to tweek the timing. Have you tried that? Also the fuel/air mixtue, try adjusting the floats. Nit sure what engine or carb you have, but if it is the 300 cid with a one barrel and points, really isn't much else that could give you trouble with it running. There is always the vacuum lines and hoses, are they in good condition and connected properly?
