I am confused about your analysis for a bad accelerator pump in a Ford four barrel carburator. You say to turn off engine, open throttle and see fuel being injected. Is the fuel indicating that the accelerator pump is bad or good. Thanks. Also, I have a 1984 Ford Econoline E350 chasis for my 26ft motor home (Tioga). Any chance you can tell me what carburator I have on there so that I can get the correct power valve.
I guess I should get your opinion. Everything was running fine. Blocked fuel filters (in carb and near in the fuel line under the vehicle) wouldn't let me go above 25mph but I forced it to get me to the dealership where they replaced the filters. I may have had a situation for a backfire, but I never heard one. However, I no longer have the power cycle of the 4 barrel carb when I floor it. No power at all. The vehicle is running but I do notice it is getting harder to start. Idle seems normal. Any thoughts?

    Kevin
