you postet some interesting videos and pictures into the chassis-cap-frame threat. You also wrote you own a pretty new f-550? Is this the 19.500lbs version or any of the versions which is using the double plates to get from 0.320 thickness to 0.600? Could you make a picture from the part where the boxed front parts connects with the open c?

Since i dit not entirely understood your argument with comadown - is the front part of an 550 entirely standart 250-350 or does it differ somehow at least in material strengh if not in height ir width?
