ok thank you. i saw on here people said 76 was last year of f fluid and 77 started dex/merc but i dont want to put the wrong fluid in as i have just bought the truck and dont know to much about it

I still use type F in my 85 Bronco with a C6. But call a couple transmission shops and see what they say.

Hey bud I say you had posted on someone's link about their c6 transmission I was wondering what style fluid it takes mine is a 77 400 with the c6 the local car parts store said they weren't sure if that's when it was style type f fluid since it was about the same time they changed to dex/mercon fluid. Thank you for any help you can give
