Ok. Thanks. I read somewhere that the front end would not raise at all with the heavier springs bc the springs are the same height just different rate/stiffer. I will just have to put em on and see what happens. I am actually hoping they raise the front end some

Yeah you should be good. I'm using a Boss SD 7'6'' and I believe the weight is 600lbs. The front is higher then previous maybe an inch to inch and half. Holds it good. I've had mine for going on 5 years and haven't had a problem. After install the only thing I had done was front end alignment. Good luck!

I have been working on this with a friend with alot of experience in the ford parts dept. He can't even be sure of the exact rating (3900 or 4200) but he did find the springs with the zz code. The part number is 8L3Z-5310-Z. How did it work out after the install? Anything else need to be done? did it raise the front end any? I am looking to do the
Fisher SD plow 480 lbs. Should be good after the springs. I hope??!!

Hey sorry just logged on here and got your message. I believe the springs are 3900 but I can't be sure on that. When I had them installed all I did was tell them (them being the dealership) spring code ZZ and they knew exactly what I was talking about. Have you called the dealership and asked them about it?

Saw an old post where u gave some advice on putting hd springs on the front of an 04 f150 for mounting a snowplow. I need to do this. I see u said tell the ford dealer code "zz". Are the "zz" springs the 3900 lb or the 4200 lb. I want the 3900lb version. My truck currently has the 3750 lb springs which are too light duty. Any help would be greatly appreciated
