Conversation Between ReAX and vandel4x

I haven't gone back to ford yet, but the short story is. The vsm took a dump, I installed a new VSM and Cluster (w/ gem), I got ford to program the cluster, but they didn't do the VSM. I've done some research and it's common that if the VSM isn't programmed that doors will act funny. The quick way to see if you have the same issue as me would be to see if the door ajar light turns off only when you open both front doors. Over at one of the diesel forums this seemed like a common complaint to an unprogrammed vsm.

Hello. I read on one of your posts that you had replaced the vsm and your door switches & were still getting the door ajar light on the dash. Did you find the problem? if so, can you please tell me what you did? I have the same problem and replaced the same things you did. Thanks in advance!
