F250 2WD like mine is rated to tow 16,300 lbs. if I remember correctly, 4x4's are rated even lower.

And, I don't know if I'd like to tow any more than that with it.

I pulled a 43' 16K GVWR trailer with it, actual empty weight was like just under 14K and it was a big pull, wouldn't want to do it all the time.

Up to you, but you are really pushing it to pull 17K with the F250.

Ltngdrvr : How is towing fifth wheels that weight under 17,000 pds like 38 to 41 ft with F-250 (that is what I owned and looking to buy fith wheel 38 to 41 ft) most people tell me to use F-350 with double wheels according to my spec of my truck I can pull up to 16400 pds and weight inbox of 3700 pds max
