    Yes, but if you do that, the EEC-IV engine computer won't know what to do. Your truck's timing will cease to advance and the computer will revert to a "limp home" mode. It would be better to not bypass it, or to replace the computer-controlled ignition system with a stand alone ignition system.

    I noticed your post talking about the throttle positioning sensor. Is there are way to bypass it on the 84 Ford F150 Inline 6?
