Conversation Between tjbeggs and NYC Diesel

Hi Tim. I was researching a problem I was having with my 97PSD E4OD tranny and came across a few posts from you and linked to your photo album. I cant believe the coincidence when I saw the pics of your 4WD Shifter Maint and Mod! Somebody else had referenced your post on that and I am not even sure it was in this Board! Unbelievable coincidence! I am having issues with my shifter too. Shifts smooth between 4H and 2 H but totally frozen from going to N and 4L! Seems the problem is the shift mech is corroded/frozen and wont let me push it down to move the pin down below by the transfer case into position. Did you do a write up on the maintenance and modification job? I would appreciate any advice or links you could provide. Thanks, Kevin kmelody@gmail.com
