Conversation Between pawpaw and pie eater

I'm using a WiFi ELM-327 through my laptop. With FORScan, it'll scan the engine & tranny controllers, ABS, GEM, PATS anti-theft, ect, so its a Very good bang for our electronic tool box bucks.

hi pawpaw. please can you tell me which elm327 your using,is it bluetooth, or usb and can it read tranny code through forscan.do you use a laptop? my b3000 i bought on boxing day had p0720 up(oss circuit failure) and was in limp. now i have sorted that out but its still not 100% and starts to flash o/d light after 20 mins. i cant get any codes up with my autel reader, but i think theres some codes stored deeper, as im having the odd issue as well with pats not recognising the transponder. i remove the key and put it straight back in, and away we go? i think the GEM is acting up, as the speedo went berserk on the last owner. sorry for the long message. thanks. steve.
