Conversation Between garbz2 and mharring

I was told you might be able to help me with some information about doing a frame swap on my 66 crew cab i bought this old truck out of a salvage yard. Its all there minus a bed and i parting my 66 single cab into it as well. But i was wanting to modernize my frame on this old truck! I have at my disposal a 97 powerstroke crew cab 2wd and also an extended cab 1 ton 4 wheel drive dodge ram. I cant find any info except for the wheelbase on my truck. Im not affraid of fabrication me and all my friends work on huge mining equipment. Id love to use that 1 ton frame. But have absolutely no clue on if they would even be close. Numbers dummy said your the guy i need to talk to. Any information you could provide would be awesome
