Denver area Mechanic?

I have my car at a Ford Dealership in Denver, but they gave my wife and I an estimate of $560 to put a new fuel pump on it. We are from Laramie, WY (2 hours) away from Denver. But I would like to see if anybody new if that was a reasonable estimate, or if it was too high. I know the fuel pump cost between $80-120 from a parts store. Anybody know of a mechanic close to Thornton or Westminster that is reliable and could do a fuel pump cheaper? Also, I have some basic mechanic knowledge, could I do this repair myself somewhere in N. Denver that has like a public parking lot that would allow me to do this repair if it is small without complaining? Any Suggestions? My wife and I are in Oklahoma till Wednesday Evening, and need our car fixed before we get back to DIA if we are going to pay for someone to fix it. Thanks, Kyle

I have a very good buddy who works in a shop in the western part of Westminster, just south of Broomfield. I don't know how familiar you are, but it is basically off of US-36 and 104th.

The place is called stang auto tech. Their site is http://www.stangautotech.com/ He's the guy at the top left (Brian). I'm not sure how cheap they are, but I know that he'll tell you where a better place to go would be, if they weren't the ones. I don't know that he'd be able to do anything price-wise, but you could mention my name (Travis) if you'd like, for whatever it'd be worth.

Thanks, but we just told the dealership to go ahead and do it. They charged more for the parts, but they have to drop the tank to get to it. Thanks though. Kyle
