My first FORD Truck
Originally a V6 truck, step one was stuffing in a mildly hot 302, then a body lift followed (3"). Another 2" of suspension lift, and 33" Swampers resulted in a total of 7" of lift overall. The exhaust was through flowmasters running out through a true dual system with Thrush Turbo mufflers, terminating just in front of each rear wheel.
The original tranny was a C4, it ground to halt on leave one year - so a C6 replaced it, along with a nine inch rear end... On mud it drove like a sprint car, on the highway it sounded like a C5-A
Sadly - I sold it about five years ago. I never got around to swapping out the front I-beams. |
