This is my first post, been creeping around for a few months and finally have some info that might be usefull to ya'll:
I am in the process of getting a quote from AAFES Overseas Car Sales program for an '11 F-150. They didn't have a complete set of vehicle sand option to build my particular combo (Supercab, FX4, EcoBoost) in their system from ford, was told the next update to would have all the options in it will be on Oct 18.
I am guessing once they have that information and its all compiled, that they should have the build and price up on there website around that time as well maybe?
Keep an eye on Edmund's website (direct link to 2011 F150), they are generally pretty good at updating, as the auto manufacturer's release details. I have no idea what AAFES offers for rates these days, but you will want to do a bit of research to ensure that it is a good deal.
As part of double-checking/researching, I would compare whatever "discount" price quotes you get--whether it is AAFES, USAA, NFCU, AAA, or whoever--against the invoice price shown on sites that allow you to "build & price" (like Edmunds). If they are over invoice, I would pass on their offer. ANYONE can walk into a dealership & negotiate for invoice pricing. It is not a real deal unless you start going below that.

Welcome to FTE and thanks for the info. Since your going through AAFES I'm assuming that you are on active duty right now. That in itself qualifies you to become a member of the DAV.
I'm not pushing the DAV but membership has it's privaleges. As a member, we are entitled by the DAV to get X-plan pricing from Ford. Do some research and you may find some enlightening info.

I don't think the EcoBoost is available just yet. A later offering. Go to the Ford website itself and see if you can spec the truck out with that.
I bought one years ago thru the AAFES program..no sales tax is a nice one! I think the rules were you needed to purchase 6 mos before DEROS so check into that.
Yeah I will look into DAV, hadn't thought of that yet. AAFES claims they will beat any price, so I can always do that as well.
My upcoming deployment is 12 months, plus 2.5 months of training beforehand (that's really long for an Air Force guy). I have a lot of time to explore all my options. Even though you can't order it yet, they can still do the pricing on the EcoBoost. Trying to get a good feel for how much money to keep from the wife while I am away to buy a new truck!
