Backup Sensor Bad - 2003 Excursion - Replacement?

Fellas -

My "parking aid" or backup sensor is not working on my 2003 Excursion. This has kept me from hitting stuff in the past, so I'd like to fix it. Dealership said that the right outer sensor is inoperable. Would like to fix it myself. Any tips on where this sensor is, where to purchase one (Napa or only at the dealerhship?), and how to remove and replace?

Thanks in advance for any info.

Scott

Contact parts guy Ed. Disconnect the wire harness, pop out the old, replace with the new, add dielectric grease or Fluid Film, reconnect harness and your are backing again. even with kin-folk discount, about $80 plus shipping.

Just turn your head around and use your mirrors when backing up. Really, how did anyone drive in the past?

and you could always get out and manually extend your mirrors instead of looking for power tow mirrors. Really, how did anyone tow in the past.
