Does anyone here have a bull bar?

Im looking into getting a black bull bar an was wondering if anyone had one already.
I was looking at the Westin or Aries but im not a fan of the chrome skid plate. There are a some cheaper ones on Ebay that are all black (bar and skid plate) but not sure if I should trust it. anyone have any experiences?

I had this on my 2006 F-150. Very well made, and very strong. I weight 260+ lbs and the thing didn't even budge when I used it as a ladder for my supercharger install.

Good product, and I would buy one again. Actually want one for this Expy, but I am not paying $100 in shipping to Hawaii, only to get a $100 product. Wish I had thought to grab it off the truck when I traded it in. The 04-08 F-150 stuff fits our vehicles (supposedly )

btw, the price is damn good now. I paid $180 for mine back 2006 from them. Give them a look.

I wish I liked the look of just the Bull guard...... I'm going to end up going with the bigger grill/brush guard I think. I've always wanted one for a truck but never pulled the trigger. The Expy is going to be around for one heck of a long time so it might be time to take a shot.

The one you posted Ty looks pretty nice though. I like the look of the lower bars better than something like the Westin piece that has the full shield on the bottom with the holes. The posted one looks pretty beefy.

I treat these as styling touches based on what happens here.

All our deer strikes have been no where near where a "bull guard" goes. A full, wrap around Aussie Roo Guard would help. Deer run into me, right behind the headlights on the side, or side door, not the front. Hit a hog in the road and these ain't gonna help either

Get the one that compliments the style of your truck.

But I found this pair of photos on web of a hitchhiking coyote:

Tylus...well I pulled the trigger on the one you suggested. Should arrive tomorrow at some point. I will try and post some pics of the install.

Anyone have any suggestions on lights? I think I want to go with a rectangular style rather than one of the 4" round kind.

I was thinking of maybe something like a LED light bar but a bit pricey!

hope you like it. If you still want a little little bit of chrome, you could get a local machine shop to cut some 1/4" diamond plate to the shape of that lower panel.

I was really impressed with my Bull Bar. and like I said, if it can hold my 260 lb butt...it's pretty strong in my book. Didn't even wiggle when I was standing on it.

btw, those LED lights...wow. expensive. Round Hella's would look good in there

Yeah I know... I'm now looking at 4" HIDx lights. HID for $250...shipped is not to bad considering the alternatives.

I too installed a brush guard from Aries and have been super impressed with it!

I looked into some of the lesser expensive HID's, like the WARN 7" HID's and was told that they are actually pretty crappy... Up here in Canuckville, we like to use lots of gravel and sand on the roads in the winter, so with a glass lens, you are guaranteed to have at-least one broken by the end of the winter! I ended up going for the Lightforce Striker 170's after watching the guy at our local part shop take a bat to them!!! We then watched the video where they get shot by a 12 gauge shotgun...! That sold me right there and then. They were a bit more $ ($290/pair + $40 for a wiring harness), but after turning them on the hwy, they are well worth it!!!

HJS.. when you get that installed please try to get some pics up. I'd love to see what it looks like when you have it on there.

I posted it separately to make it easier to search for.

@Tylus...Thanks for the recommendation and eBay link.
