2010 brake controller, again.
Venting a bit.
I bought a 2010 F-250 fleet truck a while ago, and forgot to order the integrated brake controller, my bad. I bought the brake module from Ford and sent the truck to the dealership to have it installed since they needed to update the computer anyhow. When we hooked up to a brand new trailer, the brakes didn't work. So I hooked it up to my truck and it locked the bakes up tight.
I sent the truck back to the dealership and was informed that the master cylinder would have to be replaced, because "some trucks are equipped with the switch and some aren't" ... and just $700.00.
It's a "fleet" truck, I understand that. Bottom of the barrel, plane-jane, nothing fancy. But it has running boards, BFG's, CD player, and A/C, but no brake controller? Listen to AM radio and roll the windows down, but give me brakes. Who would buy a F-250 fleet truck and not have towing in mind?
$700.00 won't cancell Christmas. It's the principal.
Done venting.
