Coolant SCA Test strips

Coolant SCA Test strips
Intend to change to HD EL non SCA coolant as soon as possible. Until then have SCA test strips but unsure how you use/read them? Does the coolant have to be cold to test or doesn't matter? How often should you test? Strips have red and pink blocks on one end so what do you do with the strips? Parts guy where I got them couldn't (Wouldn't?) tell me what to do with them. Help with how to go about this important testing to keep the engine protected until I can change the coolant will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Here is a link that describes how the test strips are used, and what temperture, were to collect the sample.

Thanks for help. Going to be interesting for a guy who's colorblind for some red shades. Talks about a non charged filter. Don't believe I have one of these. Must be for Big Rigs! Will be a lot simpler when I get the non SCA coolant in the truck.
