nope..
the surface rust that develops on some of the underside parts of the truck will never get beyond just surface rust...
you'd have to really have the truck along time to see any of those parts rust out....
my trucks a 2003, has 340K kms, and i can see the unpainted parts underneath look the same as what you see on brand new trucks sitting on the lot..

The drive shaft is made of hollow aluminum, hopefully at least 1/4" wall thickness. I actually expect this to twist, but that's another issue.
Some steel parts are hardened which indeed will get some surface rust and during normal usage of the trucks will remain that way. Park it in a field for 10 years at that's another story.
