93 f150 self adjusting rear brakes

hey all, I have a 93 F150 4x4 with self adjusting rear brake's on the back, also all new(everything) and the driverside rear is self adjusting too tight and locking the wheel anyone know what may cause this, other side is fine. If i cant find the problem any one think its alright the just cut the clip that makes them adjust themselves and go back to adjusting them manually.

Re: Self adjusting rear brakes

Take a look at your parking brake cable. I had a similar issue where one side would adjust tight. Somewhere in the trucks past there was undercoating applied and some baked on the cable. It caused the cable to stick just enough to not release fully.

Verify you installed a Primary brake shoe and Secondary brake shoe on each axle.

The Primary brake shoe has a shorter brake lining than the Secondary shoe and
when installed, is closer to the front of the vehicle.

Hey all. so I jacked it up and pulled both sides and all appears to be in order so I may try to go back to ford and order the adjusters if I can get them to make sure I have the right ones, I orginally got the hardware kit from napa. replace both sides with the new ones, even though its only the driverside locking and if that doesnt work I am going to take that adjustment arm off there, any other ideas? thanks guys.
