Tail gate handle

I need a tailgate handle for my 87 f150
The parts book at Oreilly's shows one part number for 80-86 and another for 88-97
witch one could be right for the 87?

80-86...Why not locate one from a donor at the junk yard?? Much cheaper...

Im guessing your like me and everyone I found at the junkyards were exactly like mine (Broken) So I have an Oreillys one

witch one could be right for the 87?
the 88-97. handle changed type, and spot in gate in 87. last one I bought was on ebay, new, for around $10.

I ordered both we see what happens, The yards are high around here wont let you pull your own parts.

Bought one from o'reily two yrs ago, after a few months it lost the baked on silver coating. when back last year got another one from the same store and it looks fine after a yr.

You can get a new one from Ford that the plating won't peel off of for $37. Part# E8TZ.9943400.AA it fits 87-97
