I understand that Ford dropped the manual transmission in late 2008 early 2009...no more handshakers I also understand that the Torqueshift automatic that is used in the '08-'11s is pretty darn tough and hard to destroy.....

No, 2010 was the last year of manuals. 2011 is the first year its not available.
