Question mercon atf

Hi. I own a mazda tribute 2006. Because is build by Ford it requires mercon atf for the transmission. It is been very dificult to find it. Does
dexron/mercon can be used as a substitute?

All Ford applications that previously specified Mercon have been changed to specify Mercon V as the correct replacement fluid.
