Inner Door handle (huge pics)

This is probably not huge news but interesting.

Lets start with a little back history.

About 5 years ago I went to a chapter meed and sat passanger in a Superduty(my first time in one). When I went to get out of the truck I looked for the release and said to myself this door handle looks awful familier. A few years later I was in the back of a 97 (I think) F150 and again. This door handle looks familier.

So finaly I was making an order through LMC for some nuts and bolt I could not find anywhere so I trolled through there Super Duty catilogue. I found the door handles and an option for chrome handles. Matched the chrome handle part number to the 68-72 door handle and they were the same. I spent the $10 each and bought left and right super duty door handles.

They fit perfectly. Well I only installed the right handle but feel confident in the left one fitting just as good.

The design of the handle itself has a bit of a wave to it as opposed to the straight design of the bump-side handle

Wow, what's wrong with me. I own a Superduty and bump-side, and never even noticed that. Good find, thanks for sharing.

Good find Dan. Now if you could stumble across a f350 4x4 transfer case yoke for my truck and you would be da man.

Great discovery Dan! Something for me to think about, if I switch to a 68/later door for my 67!

Ford changed the handle to black in 1988, there was no chrome handle like this available after 1988...despite what LMC claims.

1968/77: Only a chrome handle was available.

D5UZ1122600A .(replaced C8AZ6222600B & C8AZ6222600A) .. Inside Door Handle-Chrome / Right/Left is the same / Obsolete

Fits: 1968/72 F100/750 / 1968/77 Bronco / 1969/87 Econoline (also used on side/back doors).

Fits: 1968 Galaxie/LTD / 1968/69 Fairlane/Torino / 1968/70 Falcon.

Thay had it listed as a "Chrome Option" But did not have the black one listed at all for the 68-72. I don't follow the vans and haven't been in a van in a very long time.

And you know there are plenty of guys out there that can't have enough chrome

I have just been wondering since I saw that SD and finaly figured it out.
I also thought it might be a nice little interior touch up if someone perfered something other than chrome. I even think with the correct prep the plastic black handles could be color matched if wanted.

Notice a 1975 Econoline part number replaced the 1968 Galaxie/LTD part number.

The Galaxie/LTD part number is what's listed for everything: 1968/74.
