never done this before, never ran weird prier but i smoked my buddy out 2 times, not hi reving but 2 quick stabs at the pedal and POP, like a small nitrous back fire? what the hell! isnt valve float at high rpm? truck doesn't see past 3200 95% of the time.deffinetly not push rods either, runs like a top and hasn't done it since!

Raw fuel in the charger ignited maybe? That would be my guess. Would be similar to a nitrous pop i would think.

Whenever you run anything hard you risk something.
Coulda bent a pushrod.

Instant fuel means instant strain.
Somethings gotta give. =)

bent pushrod would keep running weird and popping. It popped once and ran just fine, still running just fine now. Serious doubt on messed up pushrod.

Once when my truck was having no start issues I was far beyond the frustated point. Instead of taking a break and cooling off I got out the starter fluid like a jacka$$. Tried to crank it and POP. A few seconds later s guy was like, "Dude, your truck's on fire". I ran around and looked. The backfire had caught the oil in the intake boot. I got it out before it even meltedthe rubber but scared the pee outta me that's for sure.
