so is this what the big c is all pissy over?
no one ever reads the sticky's and then they get all poopy pants when they get the run a round. i will never understand it. and it's not like it's hard to find most any info on the net nowadays. seriously, there is this site called google that is damn near idiot proof. it will even tell you what you are searching for before you finish typing it, like it knows what you want. it's pretty cool. you should check it out.

anything for you hunny
ok newb,
My computer crashed so I dont have pics to post but Ill do my best to find some off teh interwebz to help you out. - if I use anyone on heres pics thanks.
Your factory hanger should look like this with the shackle above the hanger.
To do a shackle flip what you need to do is remove your factory rivets (4.5" angle grinder or an air hammer with rivet cutter works best) and rotate the hanger 180* so that the shackle is now below the hanger.
kinda like this even though this guy is using a factory front hanger.
Now, this will give you about 3" of lift BUT your shackle angle will most likely suck and your tires wont be centered in your wheel well anymore. To remedy this I would move your front hanger back about 2" to recenter your tires in the wheel well AND give you about 20* of shackle angle so your ride isnt effected. Also you can buy new hangers to give you more lift (Paul (captainp4) has a write up in the tech thread at the top of the page thats very detailed). I prefer Dans hangers (www.ruffstuffspecialties.com) but Sky (www.sky-manufacturing.com) has some nice hangers as well.
I read back to your original post and I see you have a 4" lift but now you want 6"...correct? Well the correct thing to do is sell your 4" coils and buy 6" coils. I dont like those coil spring spacers or any of that other crap. Coils for most Ford TTB trucks are cheap. I think the ones I bought for my Ranger were in the $120-30 range but that was years ago. If youre on a budget buy some Rough Country or any of the other "popular" brands. If youve got a little more money and you care about ride quality buy some Deaver superflex coils.
If you have any questions ask away bud. Ill keep the peanut gallery off your back.
