My new bunny

Well ive been pretty busy these last few weeks selling a car, So I could buy another. After finding a few others on here also liking vw's as well I thought I would share my insane deal.
1980 volkswagen rabbit

Its has Fresh 0 mile 16V rebuild built by Jerry Reynolds
Scirocco Intake manifiold
0 mile 4 Speed built tranny
Racing Header
Full TT exhaust
neuspeed Lowering springs and koni yellow struts
Upgraded 10.1 slotted and drilled Front Brakes
92 gli Disc brakes in Rear
Zender Body kit Very Rare
Shaved marker lights, door handles, and rear hatch
custom paint color mix of 1990 cabrio color and some playing with pearl
Lots of custom goodies
has everything to finish it up!
The grille is in the car along with tons of brand new parts!
Someone put hood pins in it so they tossed the old hood and found a clean white one i need to get painted.still looking for wheels.
Ive already sourced out a rear oem leather rear seat, and plan to put in 2 wide bolster leather sparco style seats, pretty sure there an off brand but very nice still.

As far as whats needed to finish it.
I need to wire up the motor with the 16v harness. I need to plumb the brakes because the braided lines dont have the right connector to plumb to the hard lines, and install some accesories under the hood!

and here it is with a matching hood and some 15x7 sportmax wheels and a bath

Oh, don't knock the diesels!!!

They may be slow,,, but I'm getting 55mpg!!!

It's kinda nice driving back and forth to work all week,,, 400+ miles,,, and using less than 8 gallons of fuel!!

I completely understand!!!

I bought mine brand spanking new,,, with 13 miles on her back in '84. I love that I know every nut and bolt that's ever been touched!!! I love that I know exactly how she's been driven and exactly what she's capable of!!!

I have been asked to sell her hundreds of times,,, but there's just no way I'd ever part with her!! The insurance is cheap, cheap, cheap,,, the mileage is out of this world and I know for a fact that I haven't adopted someone else's problems!! She's a clean one-owner!!!

those old Rabbit are sweet. My buddies mom NAILED an adult Doe doing 55. only thing that happened was a broken headlight and that amber running light. it had this crazy shock absorbing bumper that took the blow and kept trucking.

Me personally im looking for a 5spd Jetta TDI not quite 55mph but 50 is close enough and they have some sweet pep in those little diesels.

Ya on my diesel rabbit, i drilled a hole in the absorbers and tucked the bumpers up to the body and then tossed on a set of 15x7 gold sportmax 501's and some cheap ebay coilovers, looked great rode stiff, but the guy that bought it came from seattle and drove it home.
