I think I'm becoming a junkie...

Well after the last few nights of driving the truck I just had to find some excuse. I had 2 tires that were diff from the 2 matching so in my infinant wisdom I automatically used that for the reason I would feel some shimmying when I would get up to 45-50ish. So what do I do, I started looking for tires of course but when I seen the price I almost cried. Then I found these dodge ram rims and tires. I sent the guy a text asking if he still had them, he said yes and gave me some info on them. So then I made the poor guy get up and get dressed at 11:30 pm so I could go get them... I know I'm sad, is there any help for those of us that do this stuff????

Oh yea the worse part, I had already started to put them on when I got home b4 the wife made me come in...LOL

You will learn real quick that as a Truck Junkie - You can't smoke 'em and there ain't a big enough needle to inject them - all ya can do is support them.
Ain't it wonderful!

Heres a quick update. Since the wife is at work and cant yell at me I hurried up and put the new tires n rims on. They are 16 inch Dodge Ram 1500 wheels with 245/70/16's on them. They fill up the wheel wells pretty good I think, hope ya'll like...

Nice looking wheels, are you missing a cap on the back wheel? or is it the lighting. Your truck looks in exceptional shape, makes me wish I could of found one like it.

It's amazing the deals you find on CL. My son's Subaru WRX wagon was close to needing tires. He found a set of new car take-offs, nicer stock alloy rims and tires with <2,000 miles on them, on CL for $400, less than the cost of new tires alone.

Not long ago, I stayed out in my garage so late that I literally fell asleep in my shower. I was working on the truck that I drove across three states to pick up. No man. I don't have a problem at all. I don't have a clue what you're talking about. LOL

I have to admit, you do have a problem-you shouldn't let your wife get in between you and your truck!

Its the "Henry Ford Clinic" We each have our own "problems" I'd be an eccentric if I had plenty of money, but instead I'm just the weirdo in the neighborhood who works on trucks all the time.

The wheels do look sharp.
I have had the truck in the garage for a week and the other evening as I was sitting up in the wheel well removing the grill, my wife has already called me an absentee husband... good thing this was here grandpa's truck...

I didn't either untill lastnight. I had just thought Fords only had the 5x5.5 bolt pattern untill I looked at wheelsnext, discount tire one of those places had it to where you could look by bolt pattern. 5x5.5 is the same as 5x137.9mm or 5x139.7mm (cant remember which for sure) thats when I seen the 3rd gen dakota rims would fit so I looked and seen that there was a ton of differant manufacturers use that bolt pattern. When I started looking at craigslist I just put in wheels and there was so much junk that came up I typed in dodge and found that add. I was planning on just going to get 2 new tires today but heck for that price I got 4 rims and tires to hold me over untill I figure out just what I want to do after I get the bodywork and paint done...
