Arrow My DIY door lighting mod

Ok, this is my first time ever trying to post a photo in a post on a forum so here it goes...
I'm not finished with the drivers side yet and its running on a switch and a battery, but I wanted to share. If there is enough interest I will do a quick write up of what you need and how to do it. Let me know what you think.

I like it!

IMO It would be better wired into the dome light circuit with soft white light.

That's the plan with the dome light. I just finished wiring up the LEDs in the door panel so it's not even in the truck yet. I chose blue because I have an Alpine DVD player and amplifier that glow blue. The lights themselves are from AutoZone and are also available in white or red. Thanks for the input.

Come on guys, almost 100 views and only one guy has an opinion. The pics are there, either you like it or you don't, but I'd still like to know even if you flame me for it.

looks like a clean install, hope it does what you want of it. i would like a little more cab light and maybe something in the door panel that floods the running boards. i loved the running board lights on our older EB expedition...very handy.

p.s...love the "you're a dumb noob, shut the hell up. lol" survey answer! i didn't pick that one, but it's pretty damn funny.

I wouldn't want it in my truck, but from what I can see, you did a good job. I HAVE thought about installing a small LED right above the pull-out cup holder, in order to better see it when driving at night.

I'm one of those guys who hates light coming from the dash, though. My instrument cluster lights are nearly at their lowest setting. I throw a rag over my CB when its on at night.

I don't know how some of you guys do it, with GPS, stereo, tv screen, ipod, and Lord knows what else filling your cabs up with light.

I have put blue leds in my cup holder and also switched all the leds in the window and door locks in my truck to blue, and have installed a blue dash overlay and radio. I love the blue so much more than green, i find it easy on the eyes and it looks awesome I will post some pics tonight after dark!

I'm actually the same way. The display on my DVD player is usually off unless it's in use (sshhh!) These lights will be wired to the dome light so they come on when I need light or when the door is open. I just wanted to be able to see into those huge pockets without busting out my phone or a flashlight.

Thanks for all the feedback so far. My next project after this is going to be finishing my stereo, then some bed rail lighting.
