when the truck is moving slow with the wheel turned to the right from about half way to full lock i get the popping jerking and grinding sound it sounds like it's coming from the back anyone have clue what it could be

Maybe it is a LS rear end and it is low on gear oil?

 

It is a 4.10 LS rearend i have not check the oil yet it was dark when i got home

 

It could be that the level is low, or maybe it doesn't have the friction modifier additive in it?

 

I went checked the oil and it's way over full as soon as i pulled the plug oil just start's dumping out what next

do i drain the oil and refill with new oil and friction modifier additive

what is the best additive? when i refilled mine after the swap, every bottle i looked at said... LS compatible.

 

How many qts. of oil did it take to refill yours

 

i'm going back regular oil and motorcraft additive
