I am looking at putting a set of rims on my truck. I was looking at some mid 90's bronco rims. Just wondering what years will fit the 79 truck. I know they changed the bolt pattern in the late 90's. I also heard that the dodge bolt pattern was the same as ford. Is that true?
Anything through 96 will fit for sure...If I am not mistaken, 97 is when they switched to the metric pattern. The dodge pattern is the same, but I do not know what year or if they quit the 5 on 5.5 pattern.
i know my wheels will fit on my girlfriends and dads dodge ram 1500 one is 97 and one is a 99...so atleast those years...matter of fact i'm thinking about putting my girls old ram aluminum wheels on the truck they look pretty bad *** and are 16's

I read somewhere that the last years of the F-100 (80-83), they changed to 5x4.5 bolt pattern. The F-150 bolt pattern is the same as stated above (5x5.5) through 96.

I've read that some dodge wheels may not fit because the center hole isn't big enough to clear the hubs. Aftermarket wheels will probably fit b/c they are more 'generic'
