Exhaust Manifold Removal F150 4.9L, How is it done?

1990 F150 4.9L Fuel Injected 6 cylinder

I previously posted regarding the repair story of this truck, and the thread went pretty well. Better than the truck, actually. I'm now at the point where I have to fix the freeze plugs, the front and rear on the passenger side. It looks like the exhaust manifold needs to come off first.

If anybody has a link to a step by step procedure to taking off the manifold, please pass it to me. Any advice on this issue is also welcome. Thanks.

just get you a ratchet and some WD40, PB blaster, or liquid wrench and go to town pullin the bolts, should be 12, 2 on each side of the exaust port on where they bolt up to the head, also 2 more at the bottom of the manifold where it bolts to the exaust

Spray with PB blaster, and let it set overnight. Start the truck to warm the bolts up a little bit, then remove them...should be easy when they are warm.

This.

It's also a good trick for o2 sensors... much easier to remove when hot IMO... I'm sure the PB vapors can't be too good though
