How did Ford add the power?
I have a 1997 V10 in my E-350. I have noticed when Ford first installed the V10 in the pick up a few model years later, they added HP and Torque. How did they do that? Electronics? Can I boost mine up to the newer specs? I love this machine! I dearly wish now I had got one in my 2003 Superduty instead of the 5.4
I didn't think I would want one cuz I was towing with my van and loved it. But the first time I towed with my pick-up truck I was hooked. It's just so easy to toss all your camping gear into the bed and wisk off to the mountains. But I just miss that effortless V-10 power. The 5.4 has to work up a sweat with my 30' TT...... I hate to take a huge hit in my pocket book cuz I still owe more than it has de-valued down to. But, maybe the 2005's will be a good excuse......

I had the same question and received a similar answer. I wish there was some easy swaping of parts that was possible but I haven't heard that.
I have a 97 E super duty chasis and V10 for my 30' Class C and I'm looking for more power when towing my boat up long grades. I just ordered the superchip tuner 1715 and hope it will provide the desired increase (my desire is to take the grades at 55).
