Road Demon Carburetor Swap and Now Hesitates Under Load
I've read quite a few threads to see if I could avoid posting a new one, but....
So here's the deal. I have a 1980 302 with an aod transmission. It had 2 barrel motorcraft carb, and prior to the swap, I had it running like a top! Of course, I needed to upgrade to a 4 barrel. I installed a Weiand Street Warrior intake and Barry Grant Road Demon Jr. 525 cfm. It starts up with a quick turn of the key and idles perfectly taking all the carb I can give it while in park. When I put it into drive, it starts to hesitate and buck. I reattached all vacuum lines/pcv as they were before. It has new plugs, wires, cap, and rotor. Any ideas?
Oh, I forgot to mention that I did install the Lokar TV cable from the kickdown to the carb as per directions (.404" gap). Thanks.
