Did Ford use galvanized sheet metal?
I'm just curious if anybody knows if Ford used galvanized sheet metal for any of the sheet metal on this vintage of a truck?
I didn't think they did, but what do I know?
As I am removing the undercoating from the bottom of the cab, I can see the floorboard sheet metal (#18AWG) definitely looks galvanized to me. One odd thing to me is that the bottom section of sheetmetal is galvanized but not the part that slopes up (toeboard).
I believe the truck came from the San Jose plant.

1973/79 F100/350 & 1978/79 Bronco inner fender aprons are galvinized. There may be other parts prior years, but I'm not familiar with any.
Sales brochures usually 'tout' this feature, so if you can find one for 1967/72...
btw: 5th digit of the VIN: R = San Jose. It would not make any difference where the truck was assembled, all plants used the same sheet metal.
