Lol no. I used to have a built f250 with a 351. That truck has a 460 fuel injected with bolt ons. Axles have 538 's power lock front and posi rear. Detroits are being saved for.

Im glad you didnt go the receiver route because that beast would rip a receiver right off. The receiver/winch setups max out at about 8k. Anything over 8k and you need some serious heavy metal mounts that are bolted to the frame with plenty of metal. A winch like that will rip a truck off of its buried axles before it will stop pulling.

With great power comes great responsibility.

I then used two 4 x4 1/4 angle iron pieces 8 long ontop of the plate to serve as a bracket. I coped the angle iron into a 10 x 40 long 1/4 chunk of channel. Triple pass welds on everything. All the joints are gusseted. I put the winch up so high because I do water crossings very often so I tried the best I could to keep it unsubmerged.
Looking forward to your build pics. My plan is to build a winch bumper over the winter. Yours looks great BTW!

What part of Kootenai County are you from. I'm down in Lewiston.
