That's not the stock filter. It is usually one of the first mods done. Often followed by replacing the downpipe, which Ford in its infinite wisdom, uses a squashed pancake shape instead of a nice cylinder. The squashed pipe fits more neatly/easily.

no lid for that style filter.
Its supposed to seal on the hood to keep some of the warm air from hitting the turbo, which it really doesn't' matter anyways.

nice clean looking truck.
Just stay with the paper filters for that, not the K&N ones like in the picture.

Most of us use the 6637 filter. You can get it at Napa, or you can order one from Riffraff Diesel. Riffraff is more affordable most of the time.

Nice lookin' rig Kevin! Darin, I'm in the same boat with the bumper. I've got the one he wants and he's got the one I want. Just a little too far away from me.
As for the filter, 6637 is the number, but I can't recall the manufacturer. ( I believe the wix number is 46637) Someone will chime in. Or you can search 6637 on the forum search at the top of the page and you'll find lots of info.

That sure is a slick truck. While you're in the mood for trades what say we trade interiors?!
