Hedman headers from JBG are longtube headers (I currently have them with a custom welded EGR slot in them.

The ones from autoanything.com that Edgethis had on his truck were longtubes also AND both didn't come with a cat attached to them.

My current exhaust (my 4th setup ) is Hedman long tubes to 2.5" dual in/out thrush exiting behind the rear tires on each side. Edge had 3" y-pipe to a hi-flow cat into a flowmaster 40 dumped before the rear axle.

how where your gains, trq hp and mpg? i got your comment on another thread and im gonna look into it tomorrow (i was talking to a friend and he told me about some drawbacks to longs) ..depending on the cost/gains i might just go with the shorties and run a drop down then (no matter what headers) im gonna run dual thrush tubes with an h pipe

Hedman 351W Headers

Those are my current headers.

1st setup: Cut off muffer.
1.5: Cut off 2nd cat.

2nd setup was 1st cat (cut the muffler/2nd cat out.) with 3" pipe back to a single in dual out flowmaster 10 90* bends out each side of the truck before the rear tires.

2.5: Pipes broke off after muffler due to no hangers, re-welded pipes so it dumped before rear axle after muffler.

3rd setup: Hedman long tube headers to 2.5" pipe. wrapped under the frame on each side to single in/out thrush mufflers then 45* before each rear tire.

4th setup: Hedman long tube headers to 2.5" custom y-pipe to a dual in/out thrust muffler, going over the rear axle and exiting on either side of the rear tires.

Soon to be 5th setup: Hedman long tube headers (or Pacesetter with EGR slot... undecided) to mandrel 3" piping wrapped around the frame to single in/out tubular mufflers exiting before rear tire on each side.

Total spent on exhaust to current date: ~$ 1,200 including custom exhaust shops labor.

Regrets? None!

As for mpg/tq/hp gains... Haven't really noticed due to 1) lead foot! 2) useless K&N air filter/TB spacer, 3) MSD wires/iridium plugs, 4) 4.10 gears front and rear.

Too many mods too close together to notice a change from one specific item.

I'm pretty sure SD only has one o2 sensor before the cat and you can just put that on the drivers side header. it will only read one side but that wouldn't bother me...

oh btw how do you get notifications on your phone? lol

my email is sent to my phone and i have it to where i get email notifications for the replies that are sent to me

do these headers have a slot for an O2 sensor? if not how do i go about making one .. i know i'll need to drill a hole but does it need to be threaded? (im asking all this because i have yet to put my hands on this truck my dad just bought it and my last truck was a 78 jimmy which had no emissions it was just a plain Jane 350 under the hood but i wrecked it on a rainy Thursday..gonna miss the sound that truck made with that 650 eddlebrock dumping fuel into motor with little to no compression turning it into massive noise maker with the get go of a turtle.)
