2011 F250 actual weight

Has anyone scaled their F250/F350 diesel? I'm looking for the weight of a supercab, 4X4 diesel Lariat or KR, full of fuel. A buddy is having a garage built and needs to know the weight to spec the concrete and steel for the floors which will be over an open space. CAT scale data would be great! Ford says 6700 pounds, but my 05 V10 weighs 700 pounds more than that!

thanks

Test drive one and take it to a CAT scale. Then he'll know for sure first hand.

My 02 weighs 76XX with me and a half tank of fuel.

Why not just tell him 10k and have it built to that? That way you're covered if you have material in the bed, etc.

I would have it built to 10K myself. Mine 08 comes in at 8130 lbs with me and fuel.

Consider that he might have a load when he pulls in.

Yeah,
The floor spec. should be quite a fair amount over the vehicle weight anyway.

There is an engineered in safety margin, but he'd like to know what the truck weighs to assess what number to start with. The difference in cost to go from 7K to 10K is significant (steel and concrete) so having the correct data to start with is important. Yes, he can shotgun a guess and get it right, but the cost is huge!

thanks

The only way to know the actual weight is to drive it over an actual scale. There are just too many variables. Regardless, I'd spec it to at least 10k. All he needs is to drive it in there once with a load in the bed and it'll cost him a lot more than the extra to build a better floor.

2011 F250
6.2 Supercab
4x4 XLT
Longbed
Me 170LBS + Full tank of gas 35 gallons

7180

I have a weight slip in my console for the LEOs if I ever get pulled over. NC is very strict about their weighted tags. I don't know what kind of scale, but it is certified.

Thanks, but you're running a gasser. Unless you know how much the diesel adds to the overall weight?

Per Ford specs it would appear the diesel weighs approximately 800 lbs more than the gas truck* (going by their published base curb weights). So, if you go by Thenewboss weight you'd be at approximately 8000 lbs but remember it depends also on the options. Not all Lariats or King Ranches will have all the same options (they'll have the options as part of the package but could have more or fewer overall options).

*For some reason in Ford's specs it fluctuates. The diesel adds ~600+ to over 800+ lbs in the same truck per Ford specs.

Sorry, missed that part. I just got excited because I have any actual weight slip and not a guess.
