Duel Exhaust 292 and Clear Lens

I did a search with no luck...............First of two questions: I would like to install duel exhaust on my '64 F250 Y-Block, what left exhaust manifold should I be looking for??(not much room with shift and clutch linkage).
Next question: What trucks came with clear lens on the front parking/directional lights?? Thanks Guys.

The only exhaust that you may be able to do that with that i know of is the ram horn style exhaust. Thats the only after market exhaust kit i know if that would allow you to have dual exhaust. If you knew what you were doing and had the right tools you could probably modify the existing exhaust, but i don't know that its worth the effort to do that. If you did modify the existing exhaust you'd have a few funky turns in the pipes. Look into the Ram horn style. I want a set, but they aren't cheap.

i cant help with the ram horns but i got a 60 with a 292, i had duals put on it, the exhaust shop just came out the top of the left manifold and did a 180 degree bend, then straight down and, a 45 degree then straight back. i think it turned out ok, besides, i will buy another truck before i spend money to buy headers or ram horns. but thats just me, good luck. mines a 4x4 to so maybe i got more room.

Welcome to FTE

The left exhaust manifold used on 1955/64 272/292 F100/700's (w/o rams horn's) is the same as was used on 1955/62 Y block passenger cars (B5A9431A).

1955/57 Ford Y block passenger cars were available with optional dual exhausts, which came standard equipment on 1955/57 T-Bird's.

So...what you need is...the left exhaust manifold from one a these cars. This manifold is not that hard to find and...will be far cheaper than a set of Ram's Horns.

At one time, this was the "thing to do" but most people in today's world are totally unaware, so they spend mega-bucks for conversion kits, headers and Ram's Horn manifolds.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1961/64 F Series trucks were available with clear lenses. 1963/64's were also available with amber lenses. All 1965/66's were only available with amber lenses.

C1TB13208A (replaced B9C13208A) .. Clear Parking Lamp Lens / Right/Left is the same / Obsolete/Reproduced

Fits: 1959/64 F100/1100 / 1961/66 H/HT800/1100 / 1963/69 N/NT500/1000.

Listed on page 59 in Carpenters 1957/66 truck catalog under B9C13208A @ $7.00 each.

Headers always leak at some point. They do flow great however. That is the choice everyone makes with headers.

When I installed duals on my 64 F100 with a 292, I used (2) 57 car right hand exhaust manifolds. The left side will exit forward but have the slant down position. The exhaust pipe then bends up to meet it., The left exhaust pipe does run under the trans cross member and the right runs above it.

I own aF-100 1955 312 Y Block. The transmission is three on the tree, I know this is an old post, but I ended up taking the right stock exhaust and installing it on the left exhaust. It fits really well, had to make a block off plate to the old cross over. Using a Thunder bird right exhaust. I also have a left thunderbird exhaust but it ran into the shift mechanism and steering box. Originally my left exhaust manifold was cracked and I could not use it. Attempted to get it repaired, but it was to far gone and would have only broke again. Using stainless I really hope this works.AJ
