95 460 gas distributor install ?
Shop manual on line states that timing is not adjustable, are the notches on the dist, and the block supposed to line up and forget about it?

The timing is adjustable. Ryan has a great writeup here: Ford Fuel Injection Setting the timing

Check with a real service manual to verify what the base timing should be set to on your 7.5L engine.
