Bump to top, there still are a few who haven't done this. It really helps to have your location listed. It helps the posted the most to have the location listed. It's easy to find a person's location by going to their profile but that's something that should be the responsibility of the poster looking for help or a part, not the person who wants to help.
Is this worth being a sticky? I don't know, maybe for a short time.

I am in east KY about 3 hours from pigeon forge and 2 1/2 from lexington and knoxville. I am working on a 1949 F1 original and a 1950 F1 with a 302 and some slight modifications. Could somebody please explain to me how to get my location in that little box up there on these posts?

Changed mine.
I am in a town called Meadow Vista, bout 10 from Auburn CA, 50 miles from Sacramento CA.
Am trying to get started on my project, 1956 F-100. got as far as bringing it to my house and in the gravel. Was going to clean the underside, then my pressure washer broke, and been busy with work.

Right now I'm working on the electrical system of that 49 (turn signals, headlights, etc.). When I bought it, the motor had sat for 20 years and was stuck. 6 days of patience, about 4 quarts of marvel mystery oil, and a big battery eventually fixed that. Then I got an intake valve freed up and it runs like a top now (thank God for el cheapo screwdrivers that can be bent and stuck down a plug hole). I also did a complete brake job from master cylinder off. It must be right because I had to lock it completely up 2 days ago for a deer. Next project is a new oil pressure sender and putting the original 16 inch rims back on it with the appropriate hubcaps, etc. After that, I've got plenty of projects. I hope there are some members close to me.

I apologize for not including my location and year in my profile.
I'm proud to say that I'm from St. Louis, MO and I am the owner of 53 F250 with the 239 flathead V8!
Let me just say, I searched quite a while to find a truck that was still (mostly) stock, in fairly good condition and available at a price I could afford. The original owner was a farmer and not shy at all about welding, so it has some unique modifications, like some kind of triangular bar that was welded around the rear lights. I'm sure those lights were knocked off in the past as they are not even mounted the same way to the truck. I found that they also work as steps to get into the bed ... either way, I'm keeping them
It also looks like he knocked the passenger side mirror off working or off-roading and then welded the mount and everything flush, and also welded on a new running board on there.
My dream is to drive this beautiful piece of history every day, use it for work, hauling and towing. I'll try to add some pictures soon.
