6.4 block heater cord routing and location lots of pics
Well thought I would get busy and snap some shots of the block heater cord as it is starting to cool down now. The element is already in the block so if you don't have the cord then that would be the only expense.
I don't have the part # but your local international dealer or Ford can get it for you or if you don't mind a few day turn around and a fair price talk to Ed at www.partsguyed.com.
Not the best pics so don't shoot me. I also tried to place them in sequence from the front bumper back to the element. This is all on the passenger side running along the frame all the way back to just above the starter.
If you are gonna do it yourself then you could use some zip ties and tie it along with the other stuff routing there as well. I would suggest you buy some of the same wire protector stuff that is covering most of the wires in the eng bay as well.
As the wire comes from behind the coil springs housing is has changed color to that of a silver color. That is basically to deflect some of the engine heat so I think you could also pick some of that up at the parts store as well.
Hope this helps and if I have made an errors let me know.
